Two well taken Marco Nwawa goals were enough to earn victory for Mossley Academy over Brighouse Town at Seel Park on Thursday afternoon.
Mossley fell behind in the 8th minute through James Tetley with Mossley players vainly appealing for off-side.
The Lilywhites youngsters hit back strongly and came close on more than one occasion before finding an equaliser on 38th minutes when Marco Nwauwa fired into the roof of the net from close range after some heavy Mossley pressure.
Mossley survived a let off at the start of the second half when Brighouse had a goal chalked off for off-side.
The winning goalcame on 52 minutes when keeper Bardsley's long punt saw Marco Nwauwa latch on and win the race with a hesitant Brighouse keeper to lob into an empty net.
Mossley had several chances to wrap the game up but were left sweating when Brighouse won a last minute free kick. Fortunately for the Lilywhites the set piece sailed over the bar and Mossley's unbeaten start to the season continues.
